Registration

The Registration Desk is located on 2nd Floor immediately adjacent to the Exhibition Area.  Registration opens from 7:30am.

CPD Points

Delegates at the Location Intelligence Forum and Exhibition 2018 “Anything is Possible” can claim 7 SSSI Continuing Professional Development points.

Additionally, the Land Surveyors Licensing Board has confirmed that Licensed Land Surveyors can claim Two (2) Cadastral Education CPD points and three (3) General Education points for attending for the day.

Floor Plan

Registration Desk, Exhibition and Plenary Ballroom are located on Level 3.

Parallel Sessions will be held in Meeting Rooms 7 and 8 on level 2.

Speaker preparation Room is Meeting Room 9 on Level 2.

Getting to the Venue

Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre is situated along the beautiful Swan River near the Perth CBD at 21 Mounts Bay Road, Perth.

Bus

The Central Area Transit (CAT) system provides a free, fast and convenient bus service.  Weekday services run every five to fifteen minutes from 6:50am to 6:20pm (WST). A Blue CAT stop is located at the Elizabeth Quay Busport (adjacent to Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre).

Trains

The Elizabeth Quay train station (located along the Mandurah and Joondalup Railway Line) is located at the doorstep of the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre. On weekdays, trains run every two – fifteen minutes until 7:30pm (after 7:30pm trains run every 30 minutes).

Ferries

Elizabeth Quay Jetty operates the Transperth ferry services across the Swan River, between Elizabeth Quay Jetty (Perth) and Mends Street Jetty (South Perth). The service operates daily from 7:50am to 7:20pm.

Taxi

Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre is a nominated Cab Spot location. The Cab Spot number is 1088. To book a taxi, please contact:

Parking

The Convention Centre Car Park is owned and operated by City of Perth.  This 1,500 bay car park is accessible via Mill Street, Mounts Bay Road and the Riverside Drive off-ramp of the Mitchell Freeway. Access is restricted to cars and motorcycles with a maximum clearance of 2.1 metres. No trailers are permitted. Payment for parking can be made by cash, or all major credit cards and EFTPOS.

There are approximately 5,000 car parking spaces within 10 minutes walk of PCEC; early bird parking or long stay parking is available at the following locations:

  • Westralia Square 141 St Georges Terrace – Entrance via Mounts Bay Road
  • His Majesty’s Theatre King St – Entrance opposite His Majesty’s Theatre
  • His Majesty’s Theatre – Entrance from Murray Street
  • Perth Concert Hall – Entrance from Terrace Road.

Speaker Information

Speakers are asked to make their presentations available to the Audio Visual (AV) Technician during the break at least 30 minutes prior to their session start time.

All presentations will be uploaded to the AV system in the room where the speaker will be presenting. For session times and room, please see the Conference Program.

There is no specified template for PowerPoint Presentations and Speakers are welcome to use company/business templates.  It is recommended that PowerPoints are widescreen (16:9).

A Speaker Preparation Room is available on the Second Floor at Meeting Room 9.

Privacy

Relevant details of registrants may be incorporated into a delegate list for the benefit of all delegates, sponsors, exhibitors, SSSI and other parties directly related to this conference.

Mobile Phones

As a courtesy to speakers and delegates are requested to ensure that all mobile phones are silent during sessions.

No Smoking Policy

The Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre is a smoke free venue. Smoking is not permitted anywhere within the venue or within 5 metres of any entry or exit

Recyclable Material

Please place any rubbish in the bins provided. SSSI would appreciate that name badges are returned to the registration desk on your departure to be reused at the next event.

Accessible Services

Subject to availability, two wheelchairs are provided by PCEC for use by Patrons within the Venue. These may be accessed through the Information Desk on level 3 of PCEC.

Accessible facilities are available in all toilet blocks.

Three passenger lifts (one internal and two external) connect the City of Perth Convention Centre Car Park to levels 1 and 2 at PCEC. A fourth passenger lift connects the internal level 2 pre-function area to the internal level 3 pre-function area.

Toilet Locations

Plenary Ballroom and Exhibition: Third floor to the right hand side of the ballroom (if exiting the back of the room).

Meeting Room 7 and 8: Second floor foyer directly opposite meeting rooms 7 and 8.

Payment & Cancellation Policy

All amounts are in AUD and include GST.  Payments by cash will not be accepted for events.  Payment terms of 7 days net are applicable to all event invoices.  At least 7 days notice is required in writing to the Events Coordinator in order to cancel an event registration.  Refunds are not permitted for non-attendance at this event unless 7 days notice has been provided.
